was telling me the story of how her grandparents met. It was a really wonderful story about France during WWII.
When she finished I let her know that the story felt a little one sided. Not once throughout the entire story did she mention anything gay. I don’t mean to be a baby but I don’t know.. I just assumed she was an ally.

Aren’t/weren’t her grandparents straight? Why would she include any gay context, if there wasn’t any implied or inferred by she or her grandparents in their retelling of the story? Just to skew to you?
